Back from London

I just spent 4 days this week exploring/shopping in London with my wonderful fiancé. The trip was a gift from him to celebrate our 6-year anniversary, and since we both love London it was the perfect setting for the day. We went to new exciting places and revisited the ones we know and love. One thing that really annoyed me though was people telling me I wasn't allowed to take pictures whenever I pulled out my camera. It happened all the time, even outside shops. It seems really wrong to me. Anyway, I can't wait to share pics of my loot with you guys! Here's a few photos to start you off  from our first day there.

The color blocking trend was everywhere in London. I even bought a few things myself to brighten up my wardrobe.

Cute fringy boho bags in Accessorize.

Draped hair in the Royal Opera House. Quite stunning when you see it in real life.

Very nice toystore owner that I just had to photograph. His store was really wonderful and quirky.

Vintage jewelry and china at Covent Garden.

Yummy cakes at the Primrose Bakery. The girls there were really nice and let me take as many photos as I liked.

Cute little cupcake soaps that had delightful scents. I bought a bunch to put on my desk.

Photo Diary: Eating Berlin

As you may have noticed, food is a major theme when I'm on vacation. I not only love eating and trying out new things, but I also love taking pictures of yummy looking food. These are all pictures from my second day in Berlin, and even though I didn't notice at the time, it turns out a lot of my day was spent drooling over delicious looking cakes and stuffing myself with macarons and bubble tea. At the end of the day when we got back to our hotel, I had two huge pieces of cake with me that I devoured in a matter of minutes. One was a slice of amazing carrot cake from a tiny cake store we found by accident on our way to dinner. The other was a slice of sticky caramel apple cake from Starbucks, and my goodness it was good! I'm starting to understand why I always put on so much weight when I'm on vacation haha.

On the Road

Las summer we went to Las Vegas and of course we had to go see the Grand Canyon. The way there was a big part of the trip though as we had the most amazingly entertaining driver. He was funny, informative and had a very distinct accent that we quite enjoyed listening to. We really loved the whole journey and I snapped tons of pics from the bus. I especially loved stopping at the Arizona Trading Post and stocking up on snacks and souvenirs. I couldn't help myself and ended up buying and stack of postcards, a very funny Arizona sandglobe and a fossil that I've later turned into a ring. We also stopped at the Hoover Dam which was kinda fun as well. The rest of the story is coming in a future post pretty soon.
